TEHRAN, June 6 (Mehr News Agency) -- The World Bank (WB) Tuesday issued a list of the loans it will grant to Iran. The bank has not allocated any loans to the nation's economic sector.
If Iran and the WB sign the 2006-2007 document, the international body will provide some $80 million for promotion of Iran's road safety.
However, the World Bank's Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) due to Iran's nuclear standoff has not been yet approved.
In addition to the Iran's road safety, other projects given priority for receiving loans from the world body include the country's Technical and Vocational Organization and the Phase 2 of Tehran's water and wastewater.
Prior to the implementation, the WB inquires into the projects' technical, financial, economic, and environmental purposes, urging the loan recipients to provide the necessary information.
