TEHRAN, June 9 (Mehr News Agency) - An exhibition of sketches and cartoons by Ardeshir Mohasses is currently underway at Tehran's Homa Art Gallery, the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Friday.
The 68-year-old artist, who resides in New York, is holding the exhibit in collaboration with the Tandis Art Magazine.
Mohasses was born in 1938 in Rasht and graduated from the Law College of Tehran University in 1962.
He drew his first sketch at the age of three after returning home from the cinema. He was asked what the story was about and he explained the film on paper.
That was how he began, and he continued until the last year of college, when he seriously took up drawing.
His sketches and cartoons were published in Keyhan newspaper for a time.
Mohasses says most of the characters in his works are in motion.
