Berlin, June 19, IRNA-Iran claimed fourth place at this year's Robo Cup which ended late Sunday evening in the north German city of Bremen, the online daily Netzeitung reported.
As the largest Robo Cup squad with around 50 teams, Iran won a total of five gold medals during the five-day robotic football tournament.
Meanhwile, Germany conquered the overall Robo Cup title with 11 gold medals, followed by China with nine, and Japan with six medals.
Some 440 teams -- among them 2,500 computer engineers, young computer talents and information scientists from 36 countries -- took part in the 10th Robo Cup to bring home 33 World Cup titles.
More than 15,000 spectators viewed the robotic games in Bremen.
The 2007 Robo Cup will be held in Atlanta in the southern US state of Georgia.
