TEHRAN, June 25 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iranian actors Akbar Abdi and Saeid Kangarani, who have returned from the West, are to appear in "Mr. Akbar, the Theater Actor", which will be directed by Abdi at Tehran's Sangalaj Hall starting in late July, the Persian service of CHN reported on Sunday.

Written by Seyyed Azim Musavi, "Mr. Akbar, the Theater Actor" will be Abdi's directorial debut.

Mahmud Rasekhfar, Hashem Rohani, Danial Abdi, Maliheh Musavi, Shaqayeq Rahbari, Farzaneh Noshadi, Shirin Emami, Ali-Asghar Sharifi, and Mohsen Afshar are the other members of the cast.

Abdi made a two-year tour of Europe and Canada and returned home last winter. He is currently acting in "From the Earth to the Heavens" directed by Mahmud Farhang at the main hall of the City Theater.

He will also be starring in Mohammadreza Honarmand's TV series "Under the Blade".

After living in the United States for 25 years, Kangarani came back to Iran in 2005. Afterwards, he acted in Hassan Fat'hi's sitcom "Marriage Iranian Style".

Before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he acted in several films including Masud Kimiaii's "Motorcyclist Reza" (1970) and director Nasser Taqvaii's TV series "Dear Uncle Napoleon".
