TEHRAN, June 27 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran's Golf Federation (IGF) president on Monday night vowed that the largest course of the Middle East will be built on the southern Kish Island, Hormozgan Province.
Issa Es'haqi added the project will be implemented in a plot of land with a 237 ha area that also includes hotel, club, stores, lake, and pool.
According to the IGF head, the project needs a 1.7 billion euro fund, whose 70 percent is met by foreign investment and 30 percent domestically.
He said the setup of golf courses in Qom, Shiraz, Tabriz, Khorramabad, and Hashtgerd is also on agenda.
