I have never been a morning person so it was a surprise to me that recently, one early Friday morning I woke up and was fresh and full of energy. Since we live near Park Mellat in Tehran, we decided to go there and have a walk around. I used to go there for long walks with my sister, Sohaila, when she was living with me, as she is a great walker. But I had not been there for a while.
I was so surprised that at 6 am on a Friday there were so many people using the new exercise equipment which must have been installed since last year for the public to use.
I was also impressed with ages and background of the people taking part in all kind of healthy sport activities. From a guy doing a Thai Chi, which incidentally is becoming quite popular in Tehran to group exercise, led by a sport enthusiast gentleman, with ladies in their Islamic dresses following instructions on the back of the group-at least there were so many of them- to young men and women playing Badminton and so on.
I only have a few pictures for you here, as my camera's battery went dead so suddenly. Sometimes I do miss the old fashion cameras when all you needed was a couple of rolls of film. But the few pictures I have here, hopefully will give you the idea!
