Tehran, March 2, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale jolted the cities of Shoushtar and Masjed-Soleyman in the southwestern province of Khuzestan at 07:33 hours local time (03:03 GMT) Thursday.
The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University located the epicenter of the quake in an area measuring 48.99 degrees in longitude and 31.96 degrees in latitude.
There have been no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake.
Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic faultlines.
