TEHRAN, Mar. 5 (Mehr News Agency) -- Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said on Sunday it registered a total of about 7,245,000 arrivals and departures during the period from Mar. 2005 to Feb. 2006.
About 3,653,000 of the passengers entered the country and the rest left the nation through the Islamic Republic of Iran's Customs Administration, the report noted adding, the figures indicate nine percent and 10 percent increase respectively, compared with the same period last year.
About 71.4 percent of the passengers were Iranian nationals and the rest were foreigners, the report added.
Most of the arrivals were made through Mehrabad Customs Office in Tehran however, Dogharun Customs in Khorasan Province and Bazargan Customs in West Azarbaijan accordingly ranked second and third in terms of the arrivals and departures, the report also explained.
Based on the report, some 25 percent of the departing passengers were foreign nationals.
