Tehran, March 8, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hit eastern areas of the city of Malayer in Hamedan province, western Iran, Wednesday morning.
According to the province's seismological base affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake occurred at 5:11 hours local time (01:41 GMT).
The quake was felt in an area measuring 48.96 degrees in longitude and 34.31 degrees in latitude.
There are no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the tremor.
