Khorramabad, Lurestan Prov, March 9, IRNA-More than 50 persons believed responsible for the terrorist bombing in Khuzestan province have been arrested, said Minister of Information Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejeie in Khorramabad on Thursday.
He told IRNA that those arrested will be handed over to judicial officials shortly.
"They have had connections with enemies of the Islamic Republic (of Iran) abroad," said the minister, who arrived here Thursday to attend the cabinet ministers' meeting scheduled to be held in this western province later in the day.
He said almost all those responsible the insecurity and bombing in Khuzestan have been identified, some of whom have been arrested.
Ejeie assured that the rest will be captured.
"This of course does not preclude other elements who may be found to have a hand in creating the state of insecurity in the province," he said.
The minister said enemies seek to deal blows on the Islamic system, and referred to plots hatched by enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
President Ahmadinejad, who arrived here Wednesday along with members of his cabinet, are scheduled to hold a session here Thursday evening to discuss the problems of the province and find ways of solving them.
