Iran achieved the second rank among the 35 Middle East countries in the ITB Berlin.
Berlin, March 12, 2006 (CHN) - Iran's pavilion in ITB Berlin achieved the second position among the participant nations from the Middle East.
According to the CHN correspondent from Berlin, the award has been granted Iran in terms of hospitality, appropriate behavior of pavilion owners, pavilion design and desired information dissemination.
Israel and Dubai pavilions achieved the first and third position in this ranking respectively. Also, the pavilions of Greece and Spain have been recognized the best in the hall of European countries.
It is already clear that this 40th edition of the Berlin travel trade fair is going to confirm ITB once again as the world's biggest and best. In terms of exhibitor numbers, 2006 will be a record year, with 10,856 firms, enterprises and institutions from some 180 countries and territories around the world - up 4.3% on 2005's level.
ITB Berlin 2006 welcomes a number of new countries and exhibitors, too, among which Timor Leste and Afghanistan are exhibiting here for the first time. Following a long absence Macedonia is also back, as is North Korea - exhibiting at the PATA stand in Hall 26.
ITB Berlin 2006 which inaugurated on March 8 will come to an end today after closing ceremony to be held.
