Sari, Mazandaran prov, March 26, IRNA-Yush, the birth place of the famous contemporary poet Nima Yushij, near the town of Nour in this northern province was visited by a large number of this year's Norouz (New Iranian Year starting March 21) vacationers.
The mausoleum of this outstanding Iranian poet, known as the farther of modern poetry, called Nima's House, dates back to the Safavid era and is 218 years old.
Yush village, some five kms to the west of Nour on the route leading to Kandovan road, is surrounded by Alborz mountain. The beautiful road taking the visitors to Yush and a river flowing nearby make the village specially attractive.
According to an expert from the provincial Cultural Heritage and Tourism Department, Tahmineh Assadi, the tourists interested in historical and literary works arrived in Yush to commemorate Nima.
"The Museum of Nima's House is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of summer," she added.
Turning to nine historical sites of Mazandaran province, Assadi said that one of them dubbed Gohar Tappeh, which is situated near the city of Behshahr, is toured by over 500 visitors per day.
