Tehran, March 26, IRNA-An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale hit the outskirts of Dayyer port city in the southern province of Bushehr Saturday evening.
According to the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake occurred at 21:29 hours local time (1759 GMT).
The tremor was felt in an area measuring 51.28 degrees in longitude and 27.86 degrees in latitude, the report added.
There have been no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake.
Meanwhile, the city of Neishabour in Razavi Khorassan province, eastern Iran, was also hit by a quake with the intensity of 3.6 on the Richter scale yesterday evening.
The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 22:32 hours local time (1902 GMT).
The tremor was felt in an area measuring 58.78 degrees in longitude and 36.19 degrees in latitude.
Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
The city of Fin in southern Hormuzgan province, was also hit by several quakes and aftershocks on Saturday.
