Iran: First batch of LPG petrochemical output exported from South Pars

Assalouyeh, March 28, IRNA-The first consignment of LPG, a series of petrochemical outputs from South Pars industrial zone was exported from a special jetty built for the purpose.

Deputy executive director of Pars Petrochemical and Economic Zone Hossein Khoda-Verdian said that the consignment was dispatched through platform No. 14 of the special jetty designed for export of petrochemicals from the area.

"Completion of construction works to build the jetty for export of outputs from Pars industrial zone would serve to speed up the process of supplying petrochemicals to the domestic and international markets," he said.

Platform No. 14 has been earmarked to export of LPG with a capacity of dispatching 40,000 tons and platform No. 15 has been designated for export of Ammonia with a capacity of 50,000 tons.

South Pars Industrial Zone is expected to export 24 million tons of liquid outputs and six million tons of solid products annually.

South Pars is situated on southern part of Bushehr province.
