Tehran, May 3, IRNA-A mild earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale jolted the suburbs of Andimeshk city in Khuzestan province, southern Iran, Tuesday evening.
The seismological centers affiliated to Tehran University's Geophysics Institute recorded the tremor at 21:35 hours local time (17:35 GMT).
The tremor was epicentered in an area in Andimeshk's suburbs measuring 32.62 degrees in latitude and 48.63 degrees in longitude.
No report was available on casualties or possible damage to property caused by the quake.
Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic faultlines and quakes of varying magnitudes are usual occurrences.
