TEHRAN, May 8 (Mehr News Agency) -- Oil production by the National Iranian Offshore Oil Company stands at 800,000 barrels per day (bpd).
The growth in the company's oil output is due to the increase in the production capacity of some of its oilfields. Production from fields such as Hendijan and Foruzan hits 50,000 bpd and 65,000 bpd, respectively, a report said here on Monday.
Daily output from Resalat and Reshadat oil fields is currently at something between 17,000 bpd and 18,000 bpd. However, given the developmental projects that are planned to be carried out soon, production from the fields are expected to rise to 120,000 bpd, noted the National Iranian Offshore Oil Company managing director Mahmud Zirakchian.
Referring to the situation in Sorush and Noruz oil fields the official said, following the measures taken by the related contractor, production from the fields is expected to hit 190,000 bpd. He added, by turning the output from the fields into gasoline at Bandar Abbas Refinery, the problems earlier facing the marketing of the products from the fields have also been solved.
