Kuala Lumpur, May 13, IRNA-Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in Bali, Indonesia on Saturday that the report on Iran's uranium enrichment higher than 4.8 percent is false.
He told reporters at the venue of Summit of Eight Developing States (D8) in reaction to the media speculations that inspectors of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have found traces of uranium enrichment in Iran at higher percentage, President Ahmadinejad said that it is totally false.
"IAEA cameras are monitoring operation at Iranian nuclear sites and such media speculations are biased and fabricated.
"As we have made public earlier, Iran only enriched uranium at fuel level or 4.8 percent employing 168 centrifuges and any enrichment above the declared percentage is wrong."
He said that uranium enrichment in Iran is exclusively for producing fuel between 3.5 to five percent and Iran does not need more than five percent enrichment.
Responding to a question from a reporter of RIA-Novosti about Russian proposal to uranium enrichment in Russian territory, President Ahmadinejad said that Iran and Russian relations are advancing on friendly basis and Iran would accept any proposal from Russia which respects Iranian rights.
