TEHRAN, May 23 (Mehr News Agency) - The contract on manufacturing the French passenger car L90 in Iran has been finalized and will be signed by the end of the week, Minister of Industries and Mines Alireza Tahmasbi announced here on Tuesday.
"The car manufacturer Renault has accepted all the conditions set by Iran in the L90 contract. The contract will be signed by the weekend, if it is not impacted by political issues," Tahmasbi added.
The industries minister also stated that negotiations are currently underway with certain African countries on production of the Iranian passenger car Paykan, but no final agreements have been made.
After agreements are reached, the Paykan prototype will be transferred to these states at the most reasonable price, he added.
