Pele warns Brazil against underestimating 2006 World Cup rivals

Berlin, May 30, IRNA-Brazil's living football legend, Pele, on Tuesday warned his country's national team against underestimating their upcoming opponents at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

"My favorite is Brazil, but we must also respect the other teams because I always say everytime Brazil went to a World Cup as a favorite, they have lost," Pele said in an interview with Germany's ZDF television station.

"Therefore our team should not feel too secure," added the former FC Santos player who led his national football squad to three World Cup titles in 1958, 1962 and 1970.

Five-time World Cup winners Brazil are joined in Group F by Croatia, Australia and Japan.
