TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (Mehr News Agency) -- Jong Chol-min and skipper Kim Kum-il celebrated their double as North Korea gave Iran a 5-0 humiliating defeat in the AFC Youth Championship at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Calcutta, eastern India, Tuesday.
Jong reveled in Iran's porous defense and took the lead for his side four minutes after the kickoff, heading home from close range a Kim cross.
He made it 2-0 six minutes later with a low left drive from behind the box.
Kim made a brilliant one-two with Jong before poking home with a powerful kick on 24 minutes.
The captain grabbed the fourth two minutes after the break, smashing home after Iran keeper Alireza Haqiqi blocked two successive shots.
Substitute Ri Hung-ryong, who took the place and armband of Kim in the 65th minute, scored the fifth goal on 77 minutes when he cleared his marker and Haqiqi to find the empty net.
The Iranian side, which came from one goal down to win its opening clash against Tajikistan 3-1, will meet Japan and Korea that conceded a 2-0 loss to Japan is to meet Tajikistan Thursday.
