Iran's Karate federation criticizes Asian Karate Confederation for decision against Iranian women
TEHRAN, Nov.19 (ISNA)-Iran's Karate federation chief stated
that since the composition of the dispatched team to the Doha Asian Games was of
the most professional athletes, the federation was hopeful of Iran's success in
"Unfortunately some countries like Japan do not want the
Iranian women teams to make presence in the competitions due to their own
advantages, because these countries rely a lot on the achievements of their own
women team and they cannot beat us in the matches that take place between the
men. This is why some of the Asian countries bring about obstacles in our path,"
stated Alireza Samandar.
Samandar also criticized the Asian Karate Confederation.
"They look at Iran's Karate with intention and malice, and the
Asian Karate wheel is in the hands of East Asian countries. They only consider
their own benefits. After the Doha games we will take our complaints to world
federation so they can visit the Asian federation and see to it," he concluded.
