TEHRAN, Oct. 4 (Mehr News Agency) - Iranian actor Ezzatollah Entezami dedicated the UNESCO award to the young generation upon his arrival at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport Tuesday night.
Entezami was honored in a ceremony at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris on Sept. 28.
"I feel great since I'm at home and nothing is better than such feeling," he told the reporters.
"The youth should know that it's not easy to achieve high status in the art world. They just need to study our career and see how we started and where we are."
Iranian Deputy Culture Minister for Art Affairs Mohammad-Hossein Imani-Khoshkhu, who welcomed the veteran artist at the airport, said the artistic and cultural assets deserve further attention.
Iranian journalist and film critic Hushang Golmakani, who accompanied Entezami in Paris and delivered a speech at the UNESCO headquarters, noted that Entezami was the best option for the world body's award.
Entezami received a warm welcome from popular Iranian directors, actors, and actresses, including Behzad Farahani, Iraj Rad, Mahtab Nassirpur, Mohammad Rahmanian, Hamid Mozzaffari, and Elham Pavehnejad at the airport.
