TEHRAN, Oct. 7 (Mehr News Agency) - The World Bank (WB) will offer around $170 million loan to boost quality and quantity of training at Iran's Technical and Vocational Training Organization, the Persian service of IRNA said here on Saturday.
The $170 million loan allocated by the World Bank will be offered to Iran by mid 2007, an official with the nations Technical and Vocational Training Organization said.
In addition to establishing a number of technical and vocational training centers in the neighboring Afghanistan, the organization has also signed agreements with other countries to set up teachers' training courses there.
The organization is currently discussing the establishment of such centers in Venezuela and a number of Central Asian countries and Persian Gulf region states.
The training center is also discussing with Japan implementation of a management-level training project. Based on the three-million dollar project, most of the managers of Iran's Technical and Vocational Training Organization would attend the related courses offered by Japan.
