TEHRAN, Oct. 8 (Mehr News Agency) -- "A Few Days Later", the second feature-length film by Iranian actress-cum-director Niki Karimi, will be screened at the Rome International Film Festival to be held from Oct. 13 to 21 in Italy.
The movie tells the story of Shahrzad played by Karimi herself, a young woman who has to make some serious decisions about her life.
Nilufar Khoshkholq, Hessam Nuraii, and Ehsan Amani are other members of the cast.
Tehran cinema to host Panahi films
TEHRAN - Iranian award-winner director Ja'far Panahi plans to show his controversial movie "Offside" along with his other films "The White Balloon", "The Mirror", "The Circle", and "Crimson Gold" at the 2nd City International Film Festival to be held at Tehran's Felestin Cinema form Dec. 16 to 19.
"Offside" is about six Iranian girls who disguise themselves as boys to enter Tehran's Azadi Stadium to watch the 2006 World Cup Asian zone qualifier between Iran and Bahrain but they are arrested one after another.
The festival is being organized by Tehran Municipality's Art and Culture Organization.
Pusan to review Iranian director's works
TEHRAN - The retrospective of films by Iranian filmmaker Amir Naderi is to be held on the sidelines of the 10th Pusan International Film Festival.
Iranian films "A Few Kilos of Dates for a Funeral" directed by Saman Salur and "Half Moon" by Bahman Qobadi are also screened at the competition section of the event which is to be held from Oct. 12 to 20 in the southeastern Korean seaport.
Iranian play to be staged at German festival
TEHRAN - Iranian director Mohammad Charmshir and his cast will travel to Germany on Oct. 18 to stage the play "Pigeon, a Sudden" at the Silk Road Festival in Ruhr.
Each October the Theater-an-der Ruhr holds the festival, which features non-Western plays.
The group has been invited by Roberto Ciulli, the Italian founder of Theater-an-der Ruhr.
