Recently we went to the Silk Road Gallery which solely promotes and exhibits photographic works. Silk Road is one of the rare galleries in Tehran which has devoted itself to such ventures.  The manager, Kiarash was as always very kind and welcoming.  We went there to have a look at the works of Hossein Nilchian.

Mr. Nilchian, I discovered, is a graphic artist by trade but enjoys photography and he had used his Canon digital camera for the works presented at this exhibition.  All the photographs were from Takht-e Jamshid or Persepolis.

The works were deep and intense, as the artist had worked on the original photographs and most of them were truly beautiful to look at.  With his permission I have a few of the works to show to you to enjoy and if you wish to contact him please write to him at:  nilchian@gmail.com
