TEHRAN, Oct.10 (ISNA)-Iran's exported carpets were evaluated as much as 195 million and 592 thousand dollars in the first half of the Iranian year. (Mar-Sep)

This sum in comparison to the similar period in last year has had a 2 percent decrease.

According to the reports by the public relations of Iran's customs, 22.8 percent of hand woven carpets were exported to the U.S.

Iran's hand woven carpet exports in the Mar-Sep period were evaluated as much as 44 million and 683 dollars.

The Iranian hand woven carpets exported to Germany were also evaluated as much as 31 million and 371 thousand dollars.

Also the United Arab Emirates with 17 million and 3 thousand dollars, Italy with 16 million and 382 dollars and Japan with 125 million and 551 thousand dollars were next on the export list.

On the whole, the U.S., Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Italy and Japan purchased 125 million and 551 thousand dollars worth Iranian carpets in the referred period. These five countries include only 64 percent of Iran's carpet export.

Hand woven carpets were the fifth item on the export list, this year.

They include 2.7 percent of the total non oil export value, in Iran.
