TEHRAN, Oct. 17 (Mehr News Agency) - "Iran has exported some 9,000 liters of mineral water and churned sour milk to Canada during last month," said Iran Export Confederation vice president, Seyyed Reza Nurani here on Tuesday.
He told MNA that the first consignment of the soft drinks, dispatched to Canada from Bandar Abbas, included 1.5 liter bottles of mineral water (some 4,500 liters). The second shipment was loaded with 4,500 liters of mineral water and churned sour milk bottles and shipped to Canada in 30-32 days.
Nurani pointed to the Canadians' welcome for the Iranian mineral water and added that the third consignment of Iranian mineral water will be dispatched to Canada during the coming days.
Underlining the fact that Canadian market is brand new for Iran's soft drink industry, he expressed hope that bigger shipments could be dispatched to Canada in the near future.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Nurani said that as the exportable mineral water bottles are being carried to Canada along with other goods such as dried fruits, no problem would be caused regarding their shipment expenses.
In conclusion, he explained that foreign shipping companies offer proper facilities to exporters for transferring their goods.
