TEHRAN, Oct 18 (ISNA)-Peugeot-Citroen has signed 6 contracts with Iranian spare part producers.
This company which was after a long cooperation with Iran, finally in the inauguration ceremony of its branch office in Iran signed 6 supply and export contracts with Iranian producers.
"We have contacted 100 Iranian spare part producers and have evaluated the works of 53 producers and have reached this conclusion that one third of them have the ability to export," Peugeot-Citroen's purchase deputy told ISNA.
"In the first phase 10 to 25 million Euros worth of products will be bought from these producers, which this figure will reach approximately 40 to 75 million Euros," he added.
"If Iranian producers enter Peugeot-Citroen's cycle and maintain their commitments in producing good priced and quality products, our company will support them," this official commented.
Also Iran's Spare Part Union deputy regarding this issue commented that the presence of Renault and its cooperation with Iranian spare part producers had a great role in the establishment of this branch office by Peugeot-Citroen.
"Currently over 100 joint venture companies have been established and Renault plans to buy over 600 million Euros worth of spare parts from Iran," said Mohammad Bagher Rejal.
Currently 13 companies are at the negotiation table with Peugeot-Citroen which from among 6 have signed contracts.
