Iran Khodro Diesel is negotiating with related officials from Senegal and Sudan to launch a heavy vehicle production assembly line in these countries in the near future, noted Majid Sheikhani, the managing director of the company.
Establishing a heavy vehicle production base outside the nation is one of the priorities of Iran Khodro Diesel Co., the company director said adding that the measure would be a turning point in the history of Iran's auto industries, a fax released by the company said here on Saturday.
The company is also preparing to produce Iranian buses and trucks in other African countries in particular, Ethiopia, he commented.
The company is making required arrangements for its presence in the auto markets of the African and Middle Eastern nations, he further explained adding that it is hoping to in the current year export buses and trucks valued at around $40 million to these countries.
