President: Insecurity in Iraq damages Iran

Tehran, Sept 7, IRNA-Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday, occupiers in Iraq cause insecurity there to continue their presence there and this insecurity causes damage to Iran, too.

In a meeting with visiting Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Barham Salih, President Ahmadinejad said, " Continuation of insecurity in Iraq is a conspiracy for continuation of occupiers' presence in that country."

A secure and prosperous Iraq is good for all regional countries, especially Iran, so in this concern Iran is ready for cooperation and exchange of experiences to the Iraqi statemen, Ahmadinejad said.

The president said deep and excellent relations between Iran-Iraq come from historical relations, vast popular ties and cultural commonalities adding, Iran has no limitation to expand bilateral ties with brotherly and friendly country of Iraq.

Barham Salih, for his part, said, Iraqi government intends to use Iranian valuable experiences for providing security and development for the country.

He noted that security in Iraq would be provided by Iraqi people and added establishing stability and tranquility in Iraq would be in benefit of all regional countries, including Iraq's neighbors.

According to Presidential Office Media Department, visiting Iraqi deputy PM expressed hope that existing problems in the way of development of relations, including pilgrims problems, can be solved promptly .
