Ahvaz, Sept 25, IRNA-The average daily production of oil from Iran's southern oilfields stood at 3.2 million barrels per day (b/d) during the first six months of the current Iranian year, announced an Iranian oil official on Sunday.
Managing Director of the National Iranian South Oil Company Ali Aqajarian said the company has almost completely finished its scheduled projects for the period in the fields of liquefied gas, gas condensates and associated gas production.
On gas injection into oil wells, he said that although the technical capability of his company was high enough to carry out all its projects, it has implemented only 90 percent of its scheduled projects in the past six months.
Aqajarian added that a project for optimization of the Aqajari oil facilities has been finalized and is about to be ratified by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
He said that the cost of oil production in southern Iran is less than one dollar per barrel which is "the lowest worldwide."
