TEHRAN, Sept. 25 (Mehr News Agency) - A group of Iranian composers who created the honorable works on epic music and Sacred Defense (the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war) was honored during the closing ceremony of the Epic Music Festival at Tehran's Honar Cultural Center on Sunday.
Majid Entezami, Babak Bayat, Mohammadreza Aliqoli, and Mohammad Mirzamani were acclaimed during the event.
Iranian eulogists Sadeq Ahangaran and Gholam Koveitipur and poets Parviz Beigi-Habibabadi, Qader Tahmasbi, and some others were also praised for their devotion to the Sacred Defense.
Speaking at the ceremony, the deputy manager of the Art and Culture Organization of Tehran Municipality, Mohammad-Mehdi Asgarpur insisted on supporting the Sacred Defense music.
The festival started at Tehran's Aqvam, Khanevadeh, Dokhtaran, and Honar cultural centers on Sept. 22.
Folk music groups from Khorasan, Azarbaijan, Khuzestan, Sistan & Baluchestan, and Lorestan provinces performed their programs during the event.
