Tehran, April 11, IRNA - Governor General of Tehran province Kamran Daneshjou said here Wednesday that foreign nationals occupy 400,000 jobs in Tehran province.
Daneshjou told the provincial Planning and Development Council meeting that employers violating rules of foreigners' employment would be strongly dealt with.
He said Tehran province tops the list of Iranian provinces by housing 30 percent of Afghan refugees.
He added that 304,000 Afghans live legally and more than 480,000 others illegally in Tehran province.
He noted that furthermore, 7,000 Iraqis and 1,000 Bangladesh and Pakistan nationals are also residing in Tehran.
