TEHRAN, Apr. 10 (ISNA)-Iran's nuclear organization chief announced that Natanz would be equipped with 50 thousand centrifuges by next year.
"In the past year we have achieved things that I believe have never been achieved before. For example in one month we reached a 13 percent progress in the Natanz site," said Reza Aghazadeh.
"I believe that the nuclear organization has met most of the expectations which was demanded from it. Currently we are concentrating on expending our power plants and enrichment facilities. We are past many of the difficult points in this process and it is time for progress," he said.
When asked about the threats regarding economic and commercial sanctions against Iran, this official noted that if these threats were to be actualized, Europe should expect a 20 billion dollar fall in its commercial relations with Iran.
"20 billion dollars is not a number which can be easily replaced by Europe. In addition Europe should expect and ready itself for a minimum price of 100 dollar for each barrel of oil," Iran's nuclear organization chief added.
"Europe and the U.S. are trying to use sanction as a propaganda tool and actually carrying out sanction is not on their agenda," he explained, while adding that West was only trying to create division in Iran, because as long as the nation stayed united and supported the government not much could be done against Iran and its nuclear program.
Regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran's future cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Aghazadeh noted that if this agency wanted to continue to act against its basic and legal boundaries, Iran would limit its cooperation with the IAEA.
