TEHRAN, Apr. 22 (ISNA)-Through the efforts of the international committee of the Red Cross the kidnapped Iranian diplomats in Arbil will soon be able to see their families.
The international committee of the Red Cross's Tehran office communication's officer, Katayun Husseinnejad gave news that talks between the Red Cross, Iraqi officials and U.S. capturers had been held on this issue.
"One of the duties of the Red Cross is preparing the necessary conditions for the detained to see their families, which in this line we are doing all we can," said Husseinnejad.
"Of course it should be considered that aside from our efforts political issues may also have an effect on the possibility of these meetings," she added.
"Currently the five Iranians are allowed to have phone conversations with their families, but they complain that the given time to them is not enough, which is absolutely their right," this Red Cross official said.
