"The painting, which measures 3,842.9 meters in length, was drawn on a 5000-meter canvas on Thursday and we hope it will be registered in the Guinness World Records," he added.
The artwork has broken the former world record by 378.8 meters, Atash-Zamzam alleged.
"The project was organized to commemorate the Bam Citadel and the people who lost their lives in the earthquake," he explained.
A team of experts is currently gathering the necessary information to facilitate the registration of the artwork in the Guinness World Records.
Located in southern Iran's Kerman Province, Bam and its ancient citadel were almost totally destroyed by an earthquake on December 26, 2003.
