The 4-member Iranian team to the 19th International computer olympiad in Croatia gained one gold and three silver medals.

Some 285 contestant from 77 world countries participated in the week-long competitions, the closing ceremony of which was held on the evening of August 22nd.

Sepideh Mahabadi, who won the gold medal for Iran, is the second girl to win a gold medal in the history of the Olympiad, said head of the Iranian team, Qasem Jaberipour.

The Iranian squad had been chosen from among 20,000 high school students attending several rounds of competitions.
