Kuala lumpur, Aug 26, IRNA - Iran's karate team on Sunday ranked second in the 8th Asian karate komite championship.

The Iranian komite team snatched 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals in karate komite competitions.

Iran won over Kazakhstan 3-2, and defeated both Malaysian and Taiwani teams 4-0.

In the final stage Japanese team won over Iran 3-2 and gained the first position followed by Iranian team in the second place. Komiter teams from UAE and Kazakhstan jointly stood in the third place.

Jasem Vishgahi, Reza Azizi, Maziar Elhami, Esmail Torkzad and Nader Joodat are members of the Iranian national Karate komite team.
