TEHRAN, Aug, 27 (ISNA)-The French foreign minister stated that the possibility of his trip to Iran was not completely rejected.
Bernard Kouchner denied the recent rumors on the cancellation of his trip to Tehran, which was aimed at peace talks over Lebanon.
"If these talks can aid the peace process in Lebanon, I see no reason why it should not be held!"
He added that France was ready to help Lebanon in return to Syria's withdrawal from what he called "interference" in Lebanese affairs.
He also hoped that Syria would not be an obstacle on the way of Lebanon's independence in its presidential elections.
France believes that with the presidential election which is to be held between September 25 and November 24 for replacing Emil Lahoud who is known to be Syria's partial, the gates of French aid will open on Lebanon.
Also regarding Iran's nuclear projects, Kouchner said that his country was still persistent that Iran should revise its nuclear ambitions.
