TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (ISNA)-Ahmadinejad stated that he had generally no objections to Oliver Stones' proposal for making a biopic about him. However, Iran's president in a news conference explained that the Iranian officials should be aware of this documentary's framework.
"I never think of myself, because I am a modest member of Iran's nation and their representative. But it should be known that Iranians are a great nation with a great culture and are widely accepted in the world due to their monotheist culture and their love for humanity," Ahmadinejad noted in answer to a question regarding this documentary and world's judgment over his character.
During the previous weeks, well known Hollywood director, Oliver Stone had made two proposals to Iran's presidential office so to receive permission for producing a documentary on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Facing a refusal over the first proposal, Stone in his second letter mentioned "I believe that negotiation between Iranians and Americans is what we need at the present time and producing this film is a step forward to this issue."
