Damascus, Dec 2, IRNA - Iran's Youth Gymnastics Team bagged 10 medals in the Asian Gymnastics Championship which concluded in Damascus, Syria, Friday evening.

The team won 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

The Iranian team comprised of Amir Azami, Hossein Keshvari, Mohammad-Mehdi Gaeeni and Hadi Khonarinejad.

Hamid-Reza Hashemi and Ses Sarkisian accompanied the team as its coaches, Sharif Yavari as technical manager and Jamshid Aban and Mohsen Javaheri as referees.

Teams from India, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Iran took part in the contests.

Iranian gymnasts are scheduled to return to Tehran on Tuesday.
