On the
occasion of the anniversary of Zoroaster's death, the Zoroastrians of Tehran
held a commemoration ceremony, praying and praising this ancient Iranian
Prophet.

According to
dialogue of religions and civilisations section of ISNA news agency, in this
ceremony, the Zoroastrian's priests took part as well as Kurosh Niknam, the
minority representative in the Islamic parliament.
The
participants along with the Zoroastrian's priests prayed from Avesta holy book
and performed Zoroastrian's religion rituals.
In this
ceremony especial porridges and foods were served according to Zoroastrian
traditions.


This
ceremony was held on fifth of Dey, the anniversary of the death of Zoroaster, in
Tehran. The participants, after reading Avesta, the holy book of Zoroaster,
moved to Qasr-e Firuzeh cemetery to visit the grave of their beloved ones. They
read their prophet's messages and songs and promised to observe that guidance in
their daily lives.
