TEHRAN, Dec. 31 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran's software exports will reach $40 million by the end of its current year (March 19), predicted deputy commerce minister here on Monday.

Delivering a speech at the First Conference on Software Exports Promotion, Mehdi Ghazanfari, also the head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), said that the sector witnessed an 8.5 percent growth from 1996 to 2006.

He added that some $25 million of the product was exported last Iranian year.
