Logan; a revolution in Iran's car industry

TEHRAN, Feb. 04 (ISNA)-Iran Khodro's vice director in the inauguration ceremony of Renault's Logan production line in Iran stated that in the case of any economic sanction against Iran this production line would not be affected.

"We are currently in the final production test stage and are fully prepared for mass production, but are waiting for Renault's production permission," Mohammad Reza Faghih explained.

When asked about the reason of delay in this process Faghih noted that quality was very important for Renault; therefore all stages should have passed before the final production permission was given.

Also the parliament's industry and mine commission chief in this ceremony noted that considering the high standards of this vehicle such as Euro 4, its entry was predicted to create a revolution in Iran's car industry.

The inaugurated production line currently has the capacity to produce 24 vehicles per hour.

This 1.5 billion dollar investment is the largest foreign investment made in Iran's car industry after the Islamic Revolution.
