Iran archers shine at Asian GP

TEHRAN, Feb. 5 (Mehr News Agency) - Iranian archers scooped up medals at men's and women's events of the Asian Grand Prix in Thailand.

In men's compound, Iran snatched the glittering gold while Singapore and the Philippines finished runner-up and third respectively.

In women's team compound, the Iranian side took the silver as the gold medal went to India and Malaysia bagged bronze.

In men's recurve, Iran won the bronze medal in the preliminary round and finished fifth in the final stage.

In women's recurve, the country finished fourth.

In women's individual compound, Sakineh Qassempur grabbed the bronze while her follow countrywoman Najmeh Abtin also took a bronze in recurve event.
