Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA - Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad wound up his two-days visit to Iran and left for Damascus on Sunday afternoon.
The Syrian president was seen off by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki at Mehrabad International Airport.
Bashar al-Assad was officially seen off by his Iranian counterpart President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad earlier on Sunday at the presidential office.
Prior to the ceremony, the two presidents held talks and attended a joint press conference.
Speaking to reporters, Ahmadinejad and al-Assad outlined outcomes of the two-day visit to Tehran of the Syrian president.
While in Tehran, al-Assad held separate meetings with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani and Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki besides President Ahmadinejad.
