TEHRAN, Feb. 20 (Mehr News Agency) - Iraq ranked third importer of Iranian goods, during the first ten months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2006).
Iran exported 1,720,695 tons of goods and products valued at around $934,758,000 during the ten-month period, a report on Tuesday, quoted a statement released by Iran's Customs Administration.
The products accounted for about 6.4 percent of the weight and 7.5 percent of the value of the total exports of the Islamic Republic, during the same period.
The UAE importing $1,982,158,000 followed by China importing $1,405,044,000 were the first and second major importers of Iranian goods and products during the period, the report added. Germany, Pakistan, Turkey, Russian Federation, Azerbaijan Republic, Kuwait and South Korea were among other importers of Iranian merchandises during the ten-month period.
Following the three countries of the UAE, China and Iraq, other major importers of Iranian products during the period were: Japan, importing 5.8 percent, India- 5.2 percent, Singapore- 4.7 percent, Italy-4.1 percent, the Netherlands- 2.6 percent and Saudi Arabia together with Afghanistan- 2.4 percent of the value of the Islamic Republic's total exports during the 10-month period.
