Tehran, Feb 23, Taliya News - Deputy Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Minister in Legal & Parliamentary Affairs said in Tehran on Tuesday despite technological developments in country, Iran ranks 115th at world e-trade scene.
Samad Mo'men-Bellah referred to the ICT Ministry's policies for expansion of IT in the country and export of that technology; he was speaking at inaugural ceremony of the new managing director of Qazvin Province TCI.
He added, "In the year 2005 the volume of world e-trade business was US $2,146 billion, while our country had no share of that business due to existence of inappropriate regulations."
According to him, under favorable conditions our country can have an annual twenty billion dollar share from exporting that technology.
The Deputy ICT Minister reiterated, "The ICT Ministry increased the bandwidth for 215 universities in a bid to boost scientific activities in the country."
