Tehran, Feb 25, IRNA - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad urged that sustainable world peace will be materialized when everyone's real right is restored.
According to a report released by the Presidential Office Media Department, the President made the remark in a meeting with a group of American Christian priests and religious activists on Saturday night.
The president said that sustainable peace goes beyond provisional tranquility and cease of hostility and requires justice to restore the rights of all human beings.
"To establish peace we need to do our best to administer justice and this can only be achieved by self-developed individuals," said the chief executive.
"Divine religions, in particular Islam, promote peace, friendship and brotherhood.
"To fulfill their tasks, including the human prosperity and salvation, all prophets faced a unified and extensive front attempting to prevent promotion of worship of God Almighty, justice and peace," he added.
Underlining that all prophets serve as models and guides to human beings, he said that they did their best to materialize worship of God Almighty, justice and peace.
The chief executive urged that today the prophets' path should be pursued to eliminate the obstacles facing peace, given that those who are selfish and full of vanity can hardly take a measure towards establishment of peace.
