Persian Gulf Environmental Arts festival held in south of Iran

TEHRAN, Jan.2 (ISNA)-Over 30 Iranian artists have gathered in Bandar Abbas coast, Hormozgan province to display their artistic taste in the three days "Persian Gulf Environmental Arts" festival. (Jan1-3)

The event is organized by Hormozgan Visual Arts association under the license of the province's culture and education ministry. Also the Iranian artist, Ahmad Nadalian supervises environmental arts training workshop in Bandarabbas and Hormoz Island during the festival.

"Preserving the coast, improving environmental structures, displaying artistic taste and capability and deploying natural elements in works of art are the main goals of the event," stated the deputy of Hormozgan culture and education ministry, Homayun Aminzadeh.

Also Nadalian believes that one of the best ways of confronting the media that alter the Persian Gulf's permanent name is to hold such festivals.

"On the other hand, environmental art is capable of generating a culture that confronts the present environmental crisis," he said while speaking to an ISNA reporter.
